Woman finds burglar in her bedroom
12:45pm Tuesday 16th March 2010 in
A WOMAN woke in terror to find a burglar actually climbing through her bedroom window.
It was only when the 20- year-old screamed that the man fled the house empty-handed.
Police hunting the burglar have not ruled out a link with another so-called creeper-style raid on a house in a neighbouring road.
They have urged people to be on their guard and take steps to ensure their properties are secure throughout the night.

Next thing we know someone will roll out the old favourite "you don't expect that sort of thing to happen around here". Why not and just where WOULD you expect it to happen?

Does it matter which country, city, district or road this happened in (or mappened if you prefer). Surely you need to take precautions against this type of crime wherever you live? Isn't that just part of looking after yourself and your family in the modern world.
