PROVING that she is a diva on the doggie dance floor and he is not just a one-dog-wonder – this Southampton duo stole the show at Crufts.
Dog dancing stars Pogo and her owner Richard Curtis did not put a paw wrong as they were crowned Freestyle champions at the world’s most prestigious dog show.
Performing for the first time in the freestyle category at Crufts, the five-year-old Border Collie completed more than 40 tricks and moves during their four-minute comedy dance routine to the Hawaii Five-O theme tune.
And it was a record-breaker for her owner, canine freestyle expert, Richard, from Shirley, who became the first trainer to win the title with two different dogs.
He first won in 2006, with his Portuguese water dog, Disco.
Richard, 36, said: “Pogo is a very talented little dog. When working with dogs, nothing ever goes to plan, but she danced with her tail wagging and was enjoying every minute of it.
“I like to add a bit of comedy to our performances because it’s all about entertaining the audience and although some people think it’s silly, it takes a lot of hard work to produce these routines.
“I am very proud of her and since I have become the first trainer to win the title with two dogs, people know that I’m not a one-dog-wonder.”
