Search for best lollipop person in Hampshire

THE SEARCH is on for Hampshire’s favourite lollipop man or woman who help children to safely cross busy county roads.

The county council is asking pupils, parents and teachers to nominate individuals for the School Crossing Patrol of 2010 and say why they deserve the crown.

The worthy winner will get a £500 gift voucher, trophy and certificate.

Finalists from each of the 11 district council areas across Hampshire will be invited to an awards ceremony in June.

The closing date for nominations is Friday May 21.

For nomination forms see hants.gov.uk/scp_nomination_form.pdf or contact the road safety team on 01962 826100.

If he were alive and lived in Hampshitre, my vote would be for Telly Savalas.
Cue youngsters asking, 'who's he'?

My votewould be a bias one. It would go to my partner 'Kate'. As i'm sure with other crossing patrol people she has to put up with swearing from drivers and students aged 5-11, two of which I have posted names on this site but won't today as not to upset anyone.
