All welcome at funeral of Victoria Nye

THE FUNERAL of a young woman who died after falling from the top floor of a Southampton tower block is being held tomorrow.

A service to remember Victoria Nye, 22, will be taking place at the Wessex Vale Crematorium in West End.

The former St Anne’s and Mountbatten schoolgirl died hours after being discharged from the Royal South Hants Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry in Southampton.

Hampshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust is now carrying out an independent inquiry into her care after claims that staff were warned she would commit suicide if she was released.

Victoria’s father Graham said his daughter was known by “people from all corners of society and all walks of life.”

“Anyone who knew Victoria and who would like to attend the funeral is welcome,” he said.

“Since her death we have been touched by the hundreds of people who have contacted us and said they knew her. She was very popular with a lot of people.”

Mr Nye said that there would be no formal dress code for the service and t h a t Victoria “would want people to wear whatever they feel comfort - able in.”

“She had a very colourful life and we expect a colourful send off,”

he added.

The funeral service takes place at 3.15pm in the crematorium in Bubb Lane.

If you tried to destroy a piece of paper you would fail. If you burnt it the heat would enter your body and the cosmos. The smoke would rise in to the sky and could become a part of a cloud. The ash could be returned to the soil, for that is where it came from. And if you returned next year to where the ash was placed you may well find a flower growing there. There is change. But there is no death.

I said 'God it hurts'
And God said 'I Know'
I said 'God I cry alot'
And God said 'That's why I gave you tears'
I said 'God I get so depressed'
And God said 'That why I gave you sunshine'
I said god I feel Alone'
And god said 'That's why I gave you loved ones'
I said 'god my loved one is dead'
And God said'I watched mine nailed to the cross'
I said God 'Where are they? '
And God said 'Mine is on my right and yours is in the light.
I said 'God it hurts'
And God said 'I know'

RIP darling xx
