Victim of racial abuse took photograph of attackers

A student who was racially abused by three men managed to drive past them in his car and take their photographs, police said today.

The man, 24, was approached by the youths who hurled racial abuse at him before one of them struck him on his shoulder with a beer bottle.

The student walked away from the youths to his car and then followed them and took pictures of them.

He drove to a shop to contact police but meanwhile he saw one of the youths smash the driver side window of his car with a beer bottle before running off.

Officers have now released the images of the wanted men following the incident in Portsmouth.

Pc Dan Neligan from Hampshire police said: ''This was a vicious, unprovoked attack on a young man which could have resulted in a serious injury.

''As part of my investigation, I'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the three youths.''

You'll have to look at The Southern Evening Echo's rival website to see them, typical Pompey Chavs.

It was in Portsmouth, say no surprise.

Considering the victim has provided police plenty of evidence, and place is full of CCTV, how come our Sherlock Holmes are having difficulty in finding the alleged culprits.

The alleged victim hasn't provided police with evidence. He has made a statement alleging an offence. As far as I can see he didn't take pictures of a window being smashed, he has simply provided a photograph of some individuals; not evidence. Evidence would be cctv, finger prints on the bottle or witness statements. His word against three others. No chance.

A business of mine was the target of a fraudulent credit card purchase some years ago of £400, they had clear colour internal CCTV tapes showing them clearly, they had the make model and colour of the car as well as the registration number, and they still did nothing as apparently it was not enough evidence............
..
Good luck to this poor chap...he is going to need it........

"Victim of Racial Abuse Took Photograph of Attackers"

- I hope he asked for their permission first, else they will claim in court that he infringed their human rights.

It's time people did more things like this. Racists are going to have to learn to keep their opinions to themselves.

Why is he still a student at 24 years old?

Because he's retarded, and he comes from Portsmouth.

'when I was 24, I had been through university, married, job, house and child.
If anyone had bothered me in the street, AND if mobile phones were around, and if I had one, I would have dialled 999, not used it for blurry image gathering.
At least you could leave your back door open then.

And the problem is....?

Many people return to college at a later date to improve their selves.

And how small minded are you?

I went to uni with two people who were at least 40. They planned to re-train in order to provide their family with a better lifestyle. I'm assuming by your comment that you believe 24 years old is too old to receive an education?

Perhaps you could tell us what your outstanding contribution to the world is?
