AN Andover mother-of-three is sending out a rallying cry for one final push to help her reach her target of £1,300 in order to undertake a four-day 300-mile cycle challenge from London to Paris for Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
Jo Symons, aged 36, of Honeysuckle Gardens has until Wednesday (24) to reach her target, and has so far managed to get halfway.
She said that all the money raised would go to the children’s hospice but she needs to reach the target in order to be allowed to take part in the challenge.
Jo said: “I feel so lucky to have three lovely healthy children and I know how lucky I am, and I just want to do this once in a lifetime challenge to help other families who are not so fortunate.
“If I don’t get the money by the deadline my only option is to pay the rest myself which I can’t do and it would be such a shame for me not to go now.” Jo has been battling hard to be ready for the ride.
“I fell off my bike the other week and then last week my newly fitted pedal fell off six-miles from home so I had to walk home pushing my bike, but I got it fixed and was back on this morning training,” she said.
