MERITYRE has joined forces with Andover MENCAP to help it develop a vibrant community resource centre in the former Wellington Inn.

Both the business and the charity have been based in Andover since the early sixties and play an important role in the local community.

MENCAP provides invaluable support to the people of Andover and Merityre has become the leading car tyre specialist in the south of England.

The new centre in Winchester Road will offer the people of Andover an inclusive, integrated and accessible building which will have lots of social, leisure, educational and vocational opportunities.

For the next three months Merityre will be offering a donation towards the project for every tyre the company sells.

Liz Hall MBE, founder and vice chair of Andover MENCAP said: “It is enormously encouraging for us to have such backing from a local business, this is a marvellous opportunity for us and we hope many local people will support us by buying their tyres from Merityre in the next three months.”
