An updated visitors' guide has been published for Winchester.
Speaking at the launch, marketing manager, Karen Brazier, said the city's rich heritage sat side by side with a wealth of contemporary galleries and public art, a thriving shopping centre and stunning, modern architecture.
"Our new visitor's guide encourages people to explore this interesting mix of old and new."
All visitor accommodation advertised in the guide has been inspected for quality and comfort under a national scheme run jointly by the AA, RAC and the English Tourism Council.
This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Winchester's Blue Badge Guides and they will be offering a programme of themed walks in May.
A free copy of the guide is available on request from Winchester Tourist Information Centre in Broadway, on 01962-840500, e-mail tourism@winchester.gov.uk or www.visitwinchester.com
