TV STARS Susan Boyle and Heather from EastEnders enjoying a hot-dog at a north Hampshire pub?!
They may have been look-a-likes, but the pair had everyone in hysterics with their comedy act to raise money for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham.
The duo organised the event at The Winchfield Inn before they set off on a tour of universities, entertaining students across the country.
Heather, aka Steve Benham, is better known for his appearances on the ITV1 show Harry Hill’s TV Burp where he regularly plays the EastEnders character.
His father was a patient at the hospice in 1989 and he decided to use his talent to give something back to the charity.
Mr Benham, who lives in Hartley Wintney, posed for pictures with fans and signed autographs last Saturday afternoon.
He said: “My father had cancer and I wanted to support the hospice where he stayed. There was a raffle and the tickets were selling out so went well.”
His friend Bob Wise, who is from Riseley, joined in the event, dressed with worrying accuracy as reality TV star and singing sensation Susan Boyle, testing his alter ego on the crowds ahead of the university tour.
He said: “When I saw Susan Boyle on TV, I thought she looked like my dad. Then daughters of a friend of mine said I looked like her!”
Pub landlord Pat Rooney is related to Mr Benham, who is his son’s father-in-law.
He said: “We had a couple of hundred people and it was a lovely day, and we are going to organise it again for the future. Those who turned up really enjoyed themselves.”
