Appleshaw Flower Show, held at the same time as the Fete, received record numbers of entries and the village hall was full of wonderful displays of vegetables, fruit, cooking, photographs and childrens artwork. Cups were won by the following - The Jubilee Challenge Cup for the best in show was won by Neil Duncan with three stems of large flowered roses.
