GREEN-FINGERED Charlie Dimmock is set to be the face of a Southampton charity drive.
The Southampton-born TV presenter, will be in the city to launch the One Day Wardrobe Clearout at the Marks and Spencer store in WestQuay on Wednesday.
She is encouraging customers to take unused and unwanted clothing to Marks and Spencer stores across the region.
The aim is to raise £1m for the charity Oxfam and reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfill.
Charlie, who was brought up in Romsey and made her name as a gardening expert on the TV programme Ground Force, will mark the occasion by donating the first item at the store.
Anyone donating Marks and Spencer labelled clothing will also receive a £5 voucher to spend in store.
From 12pm until 2pm customers who donate clothing can enter an in-store competition to win a share of £250 of Marks and Spencer gift cards.
