A GIRL of 13 was traumatised after a bus passenger indecently assaulted her.

It happened on the top deck a court was told. Armando Dsouza began talking to her, asking whether she loved him, passed a note with his phone number on it and kissed her hand.

Prosecutor Siobhan Linsley told Southampton Crown Court the girl refused to divulge her number before Dsouza placed his hand on her right knee and then stroked her thigh. She complain to the driver who phoned his control room.

Police met the service at a pre-arranged stop and found the girl visibly shaking. Dsouza was arrested as he stepped off the bus and he was also shaking, the prosecutor added. Dsouza, 36, of Burlington Mansions, Shirley, admitted indecent assault, he received 18 months supervision and under the terms of a restraining order.

Judge Patrick Hooton said: “If you do anything like this again, you will be locked up.”
