Six Second World War mortars found off a Hampshire beach are due to be blown up in a controlled explosion today.
A Royal Navy bomb disposal team from Portsmouth will carry out the explosion at Calshot Spit.
The road leading to Calshot Activities Centre and Calshot Castle will be closed by police shortly before the blast.
A Maritime and Coastguard Agency spokesman said the mortars had been exposed by exceptionally low tides.
