HUNDREDS of fans flocked to Above Bar, Southampton, yesterday to catch a glimpse of Peter Andre - one half of Britain's hottest celebrity couple.

The pop star and husband of glamour model Katie Price - aka Jordan - was in town to sign copies of his autobiography, All About Us: My Story, at Woolworths.

Queues snaked through the store and down the street as the man who shot to fame in 1996 with chart hit Mysterious Girl scribbled his name on hundreds of books.

Billed as an "intriguing, surprising and astonishingly candid" insight into his life, the book includes accounts of being bullied as a child, spending time in a psychiatric hospital and even his torrid affair with Spice Girl Mel B.

The Aussie hunk, once referred to as The Body because of his famous abs, said: "In my book you learn all about my life. The best way to describe it is as a rollercoaster. It tells you about all my ups and downs, from major success and fame to some of the darker times. I really hope that people will like it."

Eight-year-old Amy Baddams, of Millbrook, Southampton, was first in the queue.

She said: "I am a big fan of Peter and his music.

"Meeting him was brilliant - he's even better in real life than on the TV."
