JANUARY is normally a difficult month for the Andover Foodbank – with bills arriving after Christmas, demand for help normally increases and donations decrease – but this year has proved different.
On Saturday customers at Asda showed their support for the foodbank by reaching into their own pockets to buy food and donate it to a team of volunteers.
They were delighted to collect 417.42kg of food and £22.48 in cash donations. On the previous Saturday generous customers at Tesco gave a fantastic 471.78kg of food and £36.71 in cash.
