OFFICERS searching for a missing Basingstoke woman have appealed for a taxi driver to come forward.
Frances Clark was last seen getting into a taxi in Penny Black Lane, in Rooksdown, Basingstoke, on Sunday, May 1 last year.
Her family have not had been in contact with her since that day, and reported her as missing in October last year.
The 48-year-old, who also uses the surnames Phillips, Laing and Hockley, is known to stay at night shelters and hostels across the South.
Officers believe the taxi driver who picked her up on Sunday, May 1 was a woman from a Basingstoke taxi firm. They think that Frances was dropped off in the St Cross area of Winchester.
Detective Constable Claire Chandler said: “Frances has not been seen by her family for some time now and they are understandably worried about her.
“I would really like to speak to the taxi driver who picked Frances up that day, as she may have information which could help us find Frances and make sure she’s ok.”
It is believed that Frances may have cut her short and dyed it a bright colour.
Anyone with information can contact Basingstoke police station on 101.
