A MAN who tried to stop a group of youths throwing snowballs at cars was left injured after they attacked him, kicking him repeatedly in the head.
The attack happened at about 10pm on Saturday February 4 in Woodbury Road, Hatch Warren.
The victim, an 18 year-old man, stopped and got out of his car to speak with the group about throwing snowballs at cars.
But he was set upon by the youths, thought to be aged about 17.
He was pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head.
He suffered several minor injuries to his face as a result.
PC Glenn Spierling said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident. I would particularly like to speak to the drivers of a Land Rover and a hatchback car which were travelling behind the victim when this incident happened.
“Both drivers are likely to have seen what happened and may have valuable information which could assist with this investigation.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Spierling at Basingstoke Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Martin65, You're far too liberal in your views, why waste good birch wood on such as those?
