A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after her car crashed on the M3.
The motorway was closed in both directions yesterday so the air ambulance could land.
Fire crews spent 45 minutes trying to cut the unconscious woman free from the silver Toyota, which came off the motorway yesterday at 11.30am near the Basingstoke junction.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
