A WOMAN was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries after being hit by a cyclist.
The 28-year-old was first taken to Basingstoke hospital, but was later transferred to Southampton General hospital’s neurological unit in a critical condition, following the accident on Friday, May 11.
The male cyclist was travelling along Chapel Hill towards Alencon Link near the town centre, when he crashed into the pedestrian at 5.38pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.
