Pensioner injured in crash

A PENSIONER suffered serious injuries after he was in collision with a car near RAF Odiham.

The crash took place at 7.30am on Monday, July 30, as the 82-year-old man walked along the B3349 Alton Road. The car involved in the collision was a red Peugeot 206, which was travelling from the direction of the airbase towards Odiham.

The pedestrian suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Basingstoke hospital . He remains there in a stable condition.

The driver, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured.

Officers closed the road for an hour to investigate the scene and recover the vehicle.
