5k grant helps to reopen walk
12:00am Thursday 9th August 2012 in News
PEOPLE will soon be able to use Goodworth Clatford’s Riverside Walk thanks to The Veolia Environmental Trust which has awarded Goodworth Clatford Environmental Group a £5,000 grant for essential tree work and boardwalk repairs needed to reopen the walk.
The Riverside Walk is a popular boardwalk and hardcore path alongside the River Anton in the centre of the village.
A poplar tree overhangs the boardwalk and, assuming the stability of the tree has been compromised, the walk has been closed for safety reasons.
Removing this tree will enable the group to reopen the walk.
