A £5MILLION business has launched in Basingstoke.
Sentinel Housing Association has set up an in-house maintenance service, to look after its 8,400 homes.
It will launch on September 3, with the transfer of 40 people from a national contractor to the new business based in Basingstoke.
The new business will also create 10 new jobs. Sentinel HomeTeam will also offer at least three apprenticeships in areas such as plumbing, electrical and decorating.
HomeTeam will be based at the company’s offices in Watson Way, Winklebury, which has just been refurbished by Basingstoke-based construction company Champion Group.
Val Bagnall, Sentinel Housing Association’s customer service director, said: “Being a great landlord is at the heart of what we do at Sentinel, and bringing our maintenance service in-house will help us to provide a top class service for our customers.”
