Contact centre donation boost

TEST Valley Arts Foundation has donated £200 to Andover Child Contact Centre for a new “art kit”.

The kit will allow a child and father to draw, colour and paint together and give the father the chance to take home something by his child.

Andover Child Contact Centre was set up to help the noncustodial parent to have access to their children, often via the courts. The child is delivered to the centre usually by the mother, and the father arrives for supervised access twice a month for two hours.

Chairman of Trustees Chris Lynn said: “This sort of donation is very important to us as an organisation as we are running out of funds and I am not sure how long we can keep going, and more importantly we are there for the children and anything that can help them is really good for us.”
