NAOMI House is calling on cyclists of all abilities to take part in a charity cycle challenge around Salisbury Plain.

The hospice hopes that hundreds of cyclists will take part in the new event and complete a 20km, 60km or 100km cycling route on 21 October.

Riders will set off from Wellington Academy, near Tidworth , and complete their chosen distance in a circular route, with refreshments available along the way.

The event is being organised by Simon Hall, a volunteer at Naomi House and a member of the Andover Wheelers cycling club.

Simon organises numerous cycling events for Naomi House throughout the year, as well as dressing as assorted furry characters to entertain families at the charity’s fundraising events.

Pam Bacon, community fundraiser for Naomi House, said: “We are really looking forward to the Salisbury Plain Cycle Challenge and it is sure to be a fun event, perfect for families, novice cyclists and more experienced cyclists alike.”

The academy will provide free parking and is offering cyclists the use of its changing and shower facilities.
