Woman charged with causing death by careless driving of former Winchester student

POLICE have charged a 29-year-old woman with causing the death by careless driving of a former Winchester student.
The collision happened when a Ford KA and a Ford Ranger collided near Tiptree in Essex at around 5.40pm on December 12 last year.
The front seat passenger in the KA was killed. He was Charlie Punter, 25, from Vicarage Court in Colchester, who was brought up in Kings Worthy, attended Nethercliffe and Kings’ schools and Peter Symonds College .
The female driver of the KA who is from Colchester was taken to hospital and arrested the following day.
She has now been charged with causing the death of Mr Punter by driving without due care and attention. She has been released on police bail to attend Colchester Magistrates Court on September 25.
Essex Police have declined to name her.
