A ROADSHOW offering advice about further education was held in a Basingstoke shopping centre.
Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT ) staff were on hand to answer questions and give information about the range of courses available at the college, in Worting Road.
Held in Festival Place the day after students received their GCSE results, the event offered reassurance to young people that there are courses available to everyone, no matter what results they achieved.
More than 400 people attended throughout the day. BCoT principal Anthony Bravo was among those to chat to prospective students and their parents. He said: “Today was a great opportunity for me to talk to young people about BCoT, and why I am so proud of our college. In these challenging times, I understand how important it is to choose the right course which will lead to a successful future career.
“I am passionate that by choosing to study at BCoT you will be successful. The progress of our learners ranks in the top 10 per cent of colleges nationally, and our students rate us above the national benchmarks for their overall satisfaction with the college.
“My message to students was that my aim as principal of BCoT is for every student to succeed. By choosing to study here, you will be.”
