Drugs crackdown in Andover

POLICE have targeted the supply of Class A drugs in an operation in Andover.

And following information received about suspected drug dealing, four people were arrested last Thursday.

Police targeted areas in and around Andover where drug dealing was thought to be taking place.

Chief Inspector Simon Dodds said: “Drugs and any associated anti-social behaviour or crime can have a huge impact on the lives of people living in the communities where it is happening. We want to work together with those communities to make a difference to their lives.

“If you are concerned about drug activity in your neighbourhood, let us know. If you don’t feel you can speak to the police directly, you can pass on your information anonymously through the Crimestoppers charity.”

Four people - a woman, aged 33, from Andover - and three men aged 17, 20 and 22, all from London, have been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
