Mum praises fundraiser
THE mother of Chris Vearncombe, former world air guitar champion, has praised the organisers of this year’s Crispystock, which returned to its original venue at The George in the centre of Andover.
The event raises money for the Brain Injury Charity in memory of Chris, who sadly died in a road traffic accident in South Africa in 2005.
Friends have organised Crispystock music festival each year ever since.
Jean Vearncombe said: “I attended this year’s event from 4.30pm until 11.20pm and it was fantastic, with a good atmosphere and everyone enjoying themselves.
“It is great that his friends organise this every year. I never realised he was so popular.
“He may not be here in body but he is still here in spirit.”
