A SEXUAL entertainment venue licence was granted to The Piston Broke by Test Valley Borough Council’s licensing committee last Thursday.
Councillors present debated an anomaly in the application between the timings granted by the licensing authority and the suggested operating hours.
However, licensing manager Michael White advised the committee that the council had limited grounds upon which it can refuse a licence.
Councillor Anthony Hope, chairman of the committee, said: “I can tell you that the application has been granted but the restrictions on time will be similar to those that are in place for the licensing activities.
“But, that apart, this will be granted on the condition that the hours will be from 11am until 11pm on Sunday to Thursday and 11am until midnight on Friday and Saturday.”
