Children found dead near Newton Stacey had been stabbed.

THEY died from multiple stab wounds - that was the sickening result of post mortem tests on two children.

Ben and Freya Pedersen were found by a dog-walker on Sunday evening near Newton Stacey. They were discovered on a bridleway next to the body of their father Michael.

It is believed he had driven them there in his car before killing them and then himself. A post mortem test on Monday revealed that Mr Pedersen, 51, died from stab wounds.

The post mortem examinations on Ben, seven and Freya, six, were conducted yesterday.

Mr Pedersen, from Chertsey in Surrey, is thought by police to have driven to Newton Stacey after visiting his father in Andover. He is said to have been struggling to cope with marital difficulties.
