ABBOTTS Barton residents will get the chance to discuss controversial plans for new council homes next week.
The city council is holding a consultation event at Simonds Court in Chaundler Road from 1pm-9pm next Thursday (Oct 11).
It follows residents’ complaints over council plans to explore sites for new homes in the suburb to the north of the citry centre.
The city council cabinet today approved proposals to conduct surveys in Abbotts Barton to identify possible locations.
local people are unhappy that green space off Dyson Drive is being earmarked for homes and the county council has also looked at building a new school on the larger open space off Chaundler Road.
