Owl's about that?
A BRONZE barn owl sculpture created by a Hampshire artist is now on display at the Hawk Conservancy Trust.
The monumental sculpture, which stands at over three metres tall and weighs three-quarters of a ton, was created by sculptor Geoffrey Dashwood.
Curator Andy Hinton said: “The barn owl is an iconic British species and it is fitting that this beautiful work of art is to go on display here at the trust.
“One of our UK conservation projects is focused on the barn owl, which is a species that is facing pressure in Britain as areas of suitable habitat necessary for its survival have become increasingly limited.
“Geoffrey has been a great supporter of the trust for a number of years and we are thrilled to have one of his pieces on public display.”
