AN Owslebury parish councillor accused of threatening behaviour towards the council chairman is due to stand trial on November 29.

Gerry Tull, 64, farming contractor, of Main Road, is alleged to have threatened Anthony Manship at a council meeting in the village on April 16.

Magistrates at Basingstoke adjourned the case until November 29 when a trial is due to be held.

Tull has denied the charge and was remanded on unconditional bail. He did not attend that latest hearing on October 3.
