Zumba dancers surprised shoppers in The Square last weekend
Winchester dance instructors came up with a unique way to promote an upcoming charity event last week.
Four Winchester Zumba instructors took part in a flashmob outside the City Museum in The Square last Saturday (Oct 6) along with several students.
Instructor Samantha Horne, said: “We did this as we are holding a charity Zumbathon for Naomi House and jacksplace on Saturday 27th October at Oceana Icehouse and wanted to promote the event in a different way to the normal run of the mill advertising.
“The weather was just perfect for us to do this, and we all felt really exhilarated after we had finished and pleased with our efforts. The feedback from spectators was brilliant and we are so pleased that we went ahead with it even though it was only decided on the Wednesday previously to go ahead with it.”
The instructors all run their own classes in and around Winchester during weekdays and also teach at fitness centres around the city.
The charity Zumbathon begins at 11am. For more details call 01962 843513 or email yvonne.campbell@naomihouse.org.uk.
