Change to A339 improvement scheme

RESURFACING work on the A339 Ringway East will begin 30 minutes earlier than scheduled.

The work, expected to last for two weeks, began last night and involves resurfacing a 1.5km strip of the northbound dual carriageway from just north of the Black Dam roundabout to just north of the A33 slip road.

Bridge joints will then be reinstated at railway bridges in Daneshill and the Eastrop flyover.

The work was meant to be conducted between 9pm and 6am, but Hampshire County Council said work will now start at 8.30pm each day to complete it as quickly as possible.

A diversion will take motorists clockwise around the Basingstoke ring road from the Black Dam roundabout.
