AN eight-year-old schoolgirl had some questions she asked about astronomy published in a book by Sir Patrick Moore.
Hannah Thomas, from Hook, has been interested in stars and planets from a young age and received her first telescope two years ago.
She has been learning about the solar system from her parents and by watching BBC One’s The Sky at Night with Sir Patrick Moore.
The programme encouraged her to send in a question, which has been published in a book to accompany the programme.
The Sherfield School pupil said: “I was very excited when I found out; I was interested in active volcanoes in the solar system and so asked about this, but unfortunately there are no active ones left on Mars.”
The Sky at Night: Answers to Questions from Across the Universe, by Sir Patrick and Chris North, was published by Ebury Publishing.
