A HOMEGROWN music band is on the verge of success and hitting the big time now they have released their debut album which can compete in the UK album chart.
In Darklight, which formed in 2004, features four Andover lads – Louis Sellers, Ben Sellers, Ross Archer and David Green – who are all thrilled with their debut album Dying to Confess.
The album was recorded in London and mastered at the world renowned Abbey Road Studios and is an 11-track CD featuring rock anthems, ballads and a number of other music styles.
To celebrate their album launch In Darklight performed two special gigs in Andover which helped to promote Dying to Confess.
David, who plays bass guitar in the band and backing vocals, said: “It’s an outstanding achievement for anyone to be able to publish their art and we are very proud of all the work we have done.
“This is only the first step and with the ability and desire to offer more and more along the way this is hopefully the start of a very exciting road.”
Drummer Louis said: “I’m over the moon, it’s so cool to have the final CD in our hands.
“Having released a debut album we have a lot more experience behind us and feel more confident about things we release in the future.”
Frontman of the band Dave, who writes the lyrics, hopes to eventually make a living from his music and said: “It has taken the best part of a year to make but it was totally worth it when you are holding it in your hand, listening to it and thinking back.”
Lead guitarist Ross added: “I love making music with the other guys.
“I’m really proud of the album but it still seems really surreal.”
The album Dying to Confess is out now and is available for download and buy at iTunes and amazon.co.uk
