Two fire engines from Andover were in attendance at the Chantry Street shop following the call at around 5.30pm, and spent two hours on the scene.
An ambulance was called to treat one woman for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
The stock room of the shop was severely damaged, and the rest of the store was affected by smoke.
