A BREWERY has recognised the loyalty of an Andover tippler who has been drinking the same beer for the past 50 years.
Town Mills’ popular regular Will Smith had a surprise presentation of an engraved glass by the chairman of Wadworth, Charles Bartholomew, in recognition of his drinking 6X for the past five decades.
Pub landlord Pete Richards said: “He’s been a regular with us for a few years now.
“He’s ex RAF and has been all over the world, but always came back to his 6X.
“I called the chairman of Wadworth asking him if maybe he could send a letter of recognition or something, but he said he would come down personally to make a presentation and spend the evening.”
