A BUG Hotel workshop for children took place in The Chantry Centre in Andover on Saturday.

The free Eco Kids event, which took place in the centre’s Chantry Court Garden, saw children decorating recycled water bottles and filling them with soil and plants to make a colourful home for bugs.

The workshops take place every month and include activities to keep youngsters amused whilst helping them learn a little about the environment.

Steve Cotney, centre manager, said: “Our Eco Kids workshops are proving to be very popular with over 100 children signing up to become club members already and we can’t wait to welcome more.

“It’s great to see the children learning and having fun.”

Children can sign up to become Eco Kids by visiting thechantrycentre.com/EcoKids or alternatively, sign up on the day when they attend a workshop.

Once the kids have attended three or more workshops they will receive a free Eco Kids T-shirt.
