At approximately 10.30pm two local men aged 21 and 22 years were walking from Tesco’s to the Lloyds TSB cash point. They were stopped by a man who was sat outside the kebab shop who pushed them causing them both to fall backwards. The 21 year old man was then assaulted by three other men. Fortunately he did not suffer any serious injury.
The first suspect is described as white, approximately 17 years old, of slim build and had short brown hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit and it was reported that at one stage he was bare-chested. The other men are described as white and aged around 16-17 years old. PC Vicki Gregg said: ‘I would like to hear from anyone with information regarding the assault or the identities of these men. ‘I would also like to speak to a white girl, aged approximately 16 years who had long ginger hair. “It is believed that she may have information which may assist the investigation.’ Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gregg at Salisbury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
