A MAN who died in a crash at the weekend has been named.
Wesley Botha was travelling north towards Basingstoke when he was in collision with a tractor near the turning of the Fur and Feathers Pub at Herriard.
The 23-year-old from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire was a soldier stationed at Bordon. He sustained serious life threatening injuries in the crash, which happened at around 11.40am on July 24.
He was taken to Basingstoke Hospital but subsequently died.
The tractor driver, a 16-year-old from Basingstoke was not injured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch with Sergeant Shaun Hopkins or PC Robert Levey at Farnborough Roads Policing Unit, quoting Operation Leader, on 101.
