A WINCHESTER law firm has teamed up with a national charity to provide free will-writing services to over-55s.
Shentons Solicitors & Mediators has joined forces with Marie Curie Cancer Care to provide the scheme between September 1 and November 30.
It offers people a chance to make or amend a will, with the option to include a gift to support the charity.
Shentons specialists will be on hand to offer advice and support, while a limited amount of free wills is on offer on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Elizabeth Pollard, head of probate at Shentons, said: “We hope that this campaign will encourage people to have a will written, and consider leaving a gift to Marie Curie at the same time. “The more money we can help raise for Marie Curie, the more free care the charity can offer, and gifts left in wills can help to ensure their services can continue into the future.”
