Hampshire air ambulance was called out last night after a pensioner suffered a heart attack.
The 83-year-old woman died at her home in Chadwick Road, Eastleigh.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance flew to the scene, landing in Passfield Lane playing fields just after 6.15pm.
An ambulance and police car also arrived at the house but despite the best efforts of paramedics the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
