POLICE officers have repeated their warning not to display presents until the last moment following a spate of raids by Christmas Grinch burglars.
In one raid thieves made off with about £1,000 worth of presents, including a Wii, from a house in Camelot Close, King Arthur's Way, Andover, on Friday.
But in two other break-ins, thought by police to be linked, the burglars actually opened the presents and left without stealing any of them.
One was at a home in The Avenue, Andover, between 3.30pm and 4pm on Sunday and the other was on the same day between 1pm and 7pm at a house in nearby Junction Road.
Police are urging householders not to place presents under the Christmas tree until the last moment, preferably Christmas morning itself.
