Hampshire X Factor finalists Same Difference are celebrating an extra happy Christmas after landing a record deal with pop mogul Simon Cowell.
The brother and sister partnership have been signed to the Syco label for one single, with the promise of an album to follow if it proves a hit.
It is the perfect boost for Sean and Sarah Smith, who are returning to their home county for an appearance at Southampton's 90 Degrees, on Carlton Place, on Thursday.
The duo, from Widley, near Portsmouth, have been on a manic mini-tour of Britain ever since they finished third on the hit ITV1 show, and will be joining other finalists on the X Factor tour in January.
Because of Same Difference's popularity amongst youngsters, it had been thought they could be snapped up by Disney, while rumours have spread that they could become presenters of classic BBC1 kids show Blue Peter.
