Baby yoga 'valuable activity'

YOGA for babies is a valuable social activity for babies and parents councillors in Tidworth have decided.

The town council decided that hire of the main hall community centre in the town should be set at just £6 per hour.

Cllr Humphrey Jones said: "We are charging very reasonable hire rates and I wonder whether we are giving one business a big advantage over another."

But Cllr Andrew Connollly pointed out there weren't a number of baby yoga businesses operating and competing in Tidworth so it wasn't really a question of giving an unfair advantage.

"Do I detect a gut feeling of a somewhat negative feeling towards baby yoga?" he said.

But there wasn't and councillors decided as it was a community activity which would bring people together the rent should stay at £6 per hour until rents are reviewed in April.
