New evidence in hunt for UFOs
SIGHTINGS: A black flying object over Western Docks.

IT is the X Files style mystery that has left UFO spotters baffled.

A silent, spinning black triangle has been caught on film flying above Southampton three times in the past month - over Millbrook, Shirley and the Western Docks.

A new video - the clearest so far - was captured on a mobile phone by a passenger travelling in a car under the Millbrook flyover.

The footage - shot on Sunday, June 1 - has caused a buzz among UFO enthusiasts from across the country who have described it as the best they have seen for some time.

An investigation was even launched by Southampton Airport after a worried member of the public alerted bosses.

An airport spokeswoman said: "We received an inquiry about a UFO on Tuesday, they reported seeing a black triangle flying near Millbrook.

"We have used our web-track technology, which tracks the flight path of aircraft, but it found nothing unusual."

Southampton's flying triangle was first filmed floating high above houses in Shirley on Monday, May 5, by company director Will Campbell, 28.

He said: "We could barely see it with the naked eye, so I got my video camera out to zoom in to get a clearer picture of the object.

"At first it was slowly rising, but then seemed to stabilise at an altitude and move away into the distance. We could see it for about 15 minutes, before it eventually got too far away."

Click to watch UFO 1 video or UFO 2 video or UFO 3 video

Mr Campbell was confident the object was not a kite as there was "absolutely" no wind that day. He added: "Its large arc across the sky also means that it was not tethered to the ground in the way an advertising blimp would be."

Steve Gerrard, founder of the now defunct Southampton UFO Group, said flying black triangles were not a new phenomenon, but had always remained a mystery.

"I have no idea what it is, that footage shot near the Millbrook flyover looks almost too good to be true. When you get a video that is so clear and sharp you have to treat it with some scepticism," he said.

$64,000 question "However, it's very interesting as it looks too high to be a kite and it looks too crisp to be a balloon. Whether it is terrestrial or extra terrestrial is the $64,000 question."

Mr Gerrard said he had received 23 reports of mysterious objects flying over the city since the start of the year.

He added: "If this was seen by three people then it must have been seen by more. I would urge anyone who has seen anything like this to report it as we need to corroborate all the evidence."

A spokesman for the National Air Traffic Service, based in Swanwick, said it passed on all UFO sightings to the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The MoD was unavailable for comment yesterday, but it's the department's policy to only investigate sightings that pose a specific threat to the country.

Totton College psychology lecturer Craig Roberts, who co-ordinated Britain's first ever ufology course, said previous flying black triangle sightings had been explained by stealth military aircraft and tricks of the camera.

"There has always been in years gone by a lot of black triangles spotted, but it has been years since I have seen anything as vivid as this," he said.

Other popular theories include Chinese lanterns, weather balloons, microlight and model aircraft, kites or even a secret military project.

The British UFO Research Organisation (BUFORA) said detailed information such as the make of camera, specific location, date, time and direction of travel was needed to further analyse the footage.

"There have certainly been many reports over the years of black triangles, particularly from the Derbyshire area," BUFORA chief investigator Heather Dixon said.

It's ok, the aliens aren't dangerous, just coming back now and again to make sure their Messiah Lowe is alright.

I think we have a winner - next story please.

To those who think UFOs are craft piloted by aliens , can they explain why having crossed the universe to get here their craft apparently has to spin round and round? Would be pretty uncomfortable inside for such an advanced race of beings? One would have thought they had found a way round this design flaw. Perhaps this explains why Craig Roberts lectures in psychology, and not in a proper subject requiring logic, evidence and reason.

Thought I would throw my 2p's worth in... Kite, most probably, Balloon, possible, Alien craft NO. We must remember that this was posted on YouTub so no independent witnesses, no independent paperwork to back up source, no detailed information and not reported to any official body i.e. Police, MoD etc or local UFO groups / investigator. You have to treat the report with 100% scepticism. There IS some kind of life out there without doubt! But not as we know it. Little green men, that is in the cinemas... There must be some kind of bacterial life out there at least. But who knows. The human brain will only accept hard evidence and will not accept things that it cannot perceive outside of its 'box'. i.e. At one time we thought the world was flat and you would fall off the edge? So, an open mind is sometimes a closed mind.

Maybe the filthy skanks from millbrook can charge to get a good view from millbrook towers and pay for their own skank lift.

Then after it's exposed that it was all a big con by the junkies that nest there, they can have a party like the one they're going to have just for getting the lift.

Maybe then, one may venture out of the nest and write a book about how they had the UFO community over, on that funny year of 2008 and use the money to bring the area into an average state of affairs.

Buy hey... i'm impartial here, so maybe a more extreme form of reasoning could un-cover the truth.

Reply Good comment we're here.

Here are two other interesting facts :

1 In 1995 Windows 95 is and launched completely changes the way we use Computers.

2 In 1995 The Worlds First 'Global High Capacity Supercontroller & System' is Formulated and Designed.

BT have the systems formula and the designs of the system and yet they don't use it.

Whereas they could of had Global High Capacity control of all Networks.

Instead of being the strongest force in the World in Communications BT collapses to financial ruin with 33 Billion of debt.

I wonder what thier shareholders would have done (who lost billions ) if they had this knowledge?

Most interesting of all, this System now used by the MOD and named A.N.P.D.S. Was designed by a Biscuit Packer with NO prior knowledge of advanced IT.

Try and explain that if you can?

totally agree, if people like this seem to have formulated such intelligent answers then they want to try and learn the language to write them in......muppets! You will find half of the neanderthals passing judgement have no concept of life other than an arm chair with beer and scratching their.......arms. So these highly educated morons are really best placed to determine the possibility of something outside of their extensive box of reality. I do firmly believe in fact and reason, however there are some things that do defy rational explanation, so maybe if the morons flicked over from Coronation street once in a while they might find programs that grow their pea sized brain slightly!

For all those who still live under the delusion that alien life does not exist, I can assure you with 100% certainty that it does, and that it is here. It has been here for many years, and can move around this planet with impunity. I am not some drug crazed idiot, I am a 52 year old data analyst. Due to a million to one chance occurence a few years back I had all the evidence 2" from my nose. I know they are here, the governments know it, NASA knows it, the military knows it. I don't need anyone to 'confirm' it. I already know it. Why are they here?, my theory is that this planet is the only source of water, oxygen and other minerals for millions of miles, only one species on this planet is destroying it. If you had termites in your house, what would you do?

Even better web-site to address comments on speed, movement, shape, etc.

solar-balloons.com

The site has more info on more solar balloon shapes and trial flights. e.g. one un-tethered balloon flight traveled almost 100mph (for those that claim balloons can't move very fast).

I have no personal or financial interest in the site or its owners.

See last Barbury Castle's Crop Formation encoding the constant Pi. They are in contact, fellows! South Korea got a VERY nice one, too.

That craft is US Black Ops Craft. Its called the TR-3B or TR-3VA, or just TR-3. Also names are Black Manta, and the Aurora Project (i believ). It is a silent craft that uses anti-internial technology. I creates an EM vortex using a rotating (50000 rpm) plasmacized mercury filled torus, that causes the wanted intertial and gravity disruption due to the helical spin of the electrons around the ring. do some research, kids.

For those that feel there is never and will not be life out in the universe, they believe in fairy tales aka religion.

Look folks, we are not special among the stars, get a clue. Given enough time, technology will void those distances as far as traveling goes.

I know for a fact, power is obtained without a need to feed a fuel to get it, I could make the thing given the materials and tools.

Aliens from other worlds, Yes. This one being one, I don't know, windows crashes if I try to see them. We are far from making those grand leaps.
