Three warned after police drugs raid finds cannabis

Three people received drugs warnings after a police raid in Romsey.

Officers executed a warrant at a flat in Banning Street on Saturday night and a 22-year-old woman and two men, aged 23 and 54, were found with cannabis.

The formal warning will go on their criminal record and if they receive further warnings, they will be prosecuted.

Inspector Jackie Willson, who was in charge of the operation, said: “This is sending out a message that we take a zero-tolerance approach to the misuse of drugs.

“It is also for the reassurance of the local community that we deal with anti-social behaviour on our estates.”
