HARTLEY Wintney beat local rivals Cove 3-1 in the FA Cup.
The extra preliminary round victory gives Hartley a trip to Southern League division one south and west side Gosport Borough a week on Saturday.
A big crowd saw the village side race into a 3-0 lead by half-time.
Nick McMahon opened the scor-ing after a defensive lapse, lively wide man James Wills added a second and a header from the outstanding Matt Morris made it 3-0.
After the break, Hartley defen-ded well but the visitors pulled a goal back.
Manager Mike Scott said: "I am absolutely delighted for everyone at the club - not only the players - as this proved to be a great day.
"We now have a trip to Gosport, which we will go and enjoy as we are truly the underdogs."
The only blot on the day was an injury to Stewart Orgar, who was taken to hospital with serious ankle ligament damage which will rule him out for several weeks.
He is added to an injury list which includes club captain Danny Roberts, as the side get back to league action this week-end with a visit from Bedfont before the short trip to local rivals Sandhurst on Monday.
Looking forward to the weekend, Scott said: "It would be good to carry on the momentum from the FA Cup win into these two games."
